Riverside world tower
Designed: 1997 Location: Seoul, South Korea
The single most important generator for the Riverside World Tower is the growing need for housing tailored to today's sophisticated, modern lifestyle. The Riverside World Tower was conceived based on a program as dynamic as the complexity of modern urban life itself. Modern urbanities' need for convenience in daily life is accommodated by a commercial-residential mixed-use project.
The Project has two distinct towers that rise out of the ground in grand gestures. The Residential Tower faces the Han River and the rest of the Seoul skyline, and will house over 290 luxury apartment units. The Office-Tel Tower, facing Hannam Dae-Ro, will house over 190 office-tel type units. The Project is augmented by a 4,000 square meter sports club located at the lower levels of the Residential Tower.
The Riverside World Tower Project has answered the need for 'green space' by planning plazas, courtyards, and gardens. The Main Tower offers world-class restaurant and retail surrounding the ground-level plaza, which is designed to offer refuge form the highly intense urban life of Seoul.
